Unit 8 – Treatment Techniques & Parameters
- Find the direction of blood flow.
- Insert the probe into the centre (lumen) of the capillary vessel. The lumen is approximately 1 mm from the skin’s surface.
- Each insertion is approximately 2 mm apart.
- The current is released for one to three seconds. As the blood coagulates, the vessel will turn white (‘blanch’).
