The client may only need a simple explanation. For example, the hair is destroyed by electrical  heat that cauterises the hair root. The current used does not cause shocks or harm to the individual. Alternatively they may require a more thorough explanation.

Description of hair root and follicle 

A wall chart of the skin and follicle may help the description. These are available from some suppliers. The hair growth cycle should also be explained which will help the client to understand why some hairs will not appear for several months. The delicacy of the process required to destroy the appropriate area should be stressed, so that the client understands that with care no scarring will  occur, but a rushed treatment using high intensity can cause damage.
