Unit 4.16 – Adjustment during treatment Copy

Adjusting the current during treatment
The current needs to be adjusted to suit the different strengths of hair. Stronger hairs will need either more intensity or a longer current release than fine hairs. Usually it is more comfortable for the client to increase the intensity slightly than to release the current for more than five seconds.
Changing the probe during treatment
When treating hairs of differing diameters it will be necessary to change the probe size to suit. Failure to do this will result in incomplete follicle destruction.
Changing areas during treatment
The current must be adjusted to suit the area. The most sensitive area to treat is the upper lip, which can be easily marked. When changing areas reduce the intensity and gradually increase to find the working point.
